Terms of Service

1. License to Use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on iOS devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple’s Media Services Terms and these Terms.

2. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The App offers a free tier and a paid “Pro” tier. The Pro tier is available as:

Subscription fees are charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. 3. User Content

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Features such as acoustic rate measurement, OCR-based dial scanning, and other automated analyses are provided for informational and hobbyist use only and may not be accurate. They are not a substitute for professional inspection or servicing by a qualified watchmaker.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to any timepiece resulting from reliance on the App’s features.

7. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Termination

The license to use the App may be terminated if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

2. iCloud Sync (Pro Tier)

If you subscribe to the Pro tier and enable iCloud sync, your data is replicated across devices signed into the same Apple ID via Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit). This data is stored in your private iCloud database; the developer has no access to it. Apple’s privacy policy applies to data stored in iCloud.

3. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions on your device:

Photo library access — to attach photos and videos to timepiece records

Microphone access — to perform acoustic rate analysis (audio is processed in real time and is not recorded or transmitted)

4. Audio Processing

The acoustic timegrapher feature analyzes microphone input in real time to estimate the beats-per-hour and rate of your watch. Audio data is processed entirely on-device and is not stored, uploaded, or shared.

5. In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases (monthly and annual) are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The developer receives only anonymized purchase status (e.g., whether you have an active subscription) and does not receive your payment details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to all purchases.

6. Analytics and Advertising

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, behavioral tracking, or user-profiling SDKs in its Pro tier. The Free tier may display advertisements; in that case, ads are served by reputable ad networks that operate under their own privacy policies.
